Reed’s class picture – second grade?

Hello to Reed Silvers, wife Pauline and daughter Jessica in Old Orchard Beach, Maine!  Thank you Reed, for letting me borrow this fantastic class picture!  Who is the teacher?  Reed identified many, but there are many question marks.  Please double click photo for larger image, look at, show your older siblings, and send in corrections to mmyatt01757 at yahoo dot com.  Or, click on “no comments yet”, or “1 comment”, etc. and leave corrections and reflections in a blog comment.  Flossie Leyden, you look so different, or do you?   Please excuse spelling attempts…

  1. Great website – Hi Reed. This is Mary Crescas – Bob’s sister. I’m standing next to Jeff! Diane is Diane Beher. Jay Davis is sitting in front of Jim.

  2. Hi Reed / Hank – so that is at Travell? Its a classic photo. Jim O’Brien lived next door to me. Hank do you have any pictures of Danny Eide? He was such a cool kid! Always so nice to us (4 years apart or so) I think the Eide’s moved to Eastbrook at least in 1960 cause Karen was in my kindergarten. I just received some more classic Glen photos (class of 1968) – I’ll have to post em on the blog. Thanks for the photo Reed!!

  3. Rick, Dan Eide is not in this picture. He was one year older than Reed. He was in my class but I don’t think the Eide’s were living on Eastbrook yet. My earliest recollection of Dan was in my 6th grade, which would have made it 1961 0r 1962. This picture would have been in the late 50’s. Hank

  4. Hey what year is this? Is Danny Eide in this picture?

    • Rick This is Reed Silvers here. The year I believe is 1960, the first year Glen School opened. For kindergarten and first grade I was bused over to Travell School (part of BF School) and Trevell Annex (real old building) while Glen was being built. I don’t recognize the name of Danny Eide. I am Margaret’s brother. Reed
